Terms of Service

1. The deal

ASSIMILATE is a free browser game. By playing you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't play — no account exists, so stopping is the whole procedure.

2. License

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to play the game in your browser. The game, its art, music, code, and fiction remain ours. You may stream, record, and publish videos of the game freely — monetized or not.

3. Virtual items and currency

Ichor, Genome Cores, containers, and every other in-game item are license features, not property. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged outside the game, and can be adjusted for balance. We will never remove paid value without either delivering its equivalent or refunding it.

4. Purchases and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before every purchase; delivery is immediate upon payment confirmation. If a purchase fails to deliver, it retries automatically when you return to the game — and if anything is ever missing, contact us with your receipt id (Stripe's email receipt or the purchase history) and we will deliver or refund it. Statutory refund rights in your jurisdiction are unaffected. Refunded purchases may have their delivered items removed where they haven't been consumed.

5. Fair play

Leaderboards are for humans playing the game. Automation, exploits, or forged submissions may be removed without notice; repeated abuse may be blocked by technical means. Playing offline, modifying your own local save, or ignoring every online feature is fine — it's your game on your device.

6. Your data

Saves live on your device; optional online features are covered by the Privacy Policy. Export tools exist in Settings — backing up your save is your responsibility, and we are not liable for lost local data (browsers clear storage for their own reasons).

7. Service

The game and its online features are provided "as is", without warranty, and may change, pause, or end. We aim to announce material changes on the news page. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.
